Naked Cowboy Drops Out

Citing the overwhelming bureaucracy mayoral candidates are faced with, the Naked Cowboy announced Friday he was calling off his bid for New York City mayor.
Having failed to file a financial disclosure form with the Conflict of Interest Board, which is required of all mayoral candidates, the Naked Cowboy faced up to a year in prison and a $10,000 penalty if he didn’t correct this deficiency.
In the end, he submitted a financial disclosure form and paid a $250 fine.
That was enough red tape for the Cowboy, which called it quits shortly after.
Prior to these troubles, he was fighting the Board of Elections, which had denied him a place on the ballot due to other problems with his paperwork.
“What I want to do is stick with what I do best. It’s
probably why I look like a naked cowboy, and Mayor
Bloomberg looks like a mayor.
